How to reach us
Email hello@doubtfulsoundtours.com. We answer in English, usually within two working days.
We are a booking guide, not a tour operator, so we cannot change, cancel or refund a booking. That goes to the operator through the site you booked on, whose contact details are on your confirmation. If you cannot find them, write to us and we will point you to the right place.
If your tour was cancelled or you missed it
A refund or a new date is the operator's to give. Your confirmation email carries their contact and your booking reference, which is the fastest route. Most day trips and flights listed here refund in full if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start; the overnight cruise and the 3-day trip from Queenstown are non-refundable.
Weather is the usual cause. When an operator cancels for weather, it offers another date or a full refund. If you missed a departure, give the time and the place you waited when you write to the operator.
Corrections
If a fact here is wrong or out of date, tell us what and where. Start times move, fares change and boats are swapped during survey, and the fastest fix is usually a reader who has just been. Every page carries the date it was last checked.

Where the official information is
Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre, Te Anau
Te Rua-o-te-moko, the Department of Conservation's visitor centre for the park Doubtful Sound lies in, is operating from a temporary home at 26 Town Centre, Te Anau 9600, until October 2026, while its main site is refurbished. It opens Monday to Saturday from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm and is closed on Sundays. Phone +64 3 249 7924, or email fiordlandvc@doc.govt.nz, for tracks, weather forecasts and the park's rules.
Driving yourself to the fiord
There is no public road. A private vehicle needs DOC's Wilmot Pass road permit and a barge across Lake Manapouri; ask the visitor centre before you plan it.
The visitor levy
Immigration New Zealand collects the NZ$100 International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy with the visa or NZeTA; questions about it go to them, not to the park.
